Chillin' out till it needs to be funded
In the world of social engagement, Murdoch’s boys may not be able to sirke much gold, if their antics continue. Though they may find it easy to complain about the internet broadband user’s continuing apathy to the paywall, journalistic standards at the Journal have been falling. In a day and age when some journos don’t even need anything more than Facebook or Twitter (see Andy’s Marketing Pilgrim) and news changes flavor in minutes, the written word is still an obsession for most readers in the morning and while business models get worked out, what will not change is an expectation of logical clarity on the business situation, not a social morass in each story..
The lunatics now run the asylum, and henceforth, I am moving the WSJ into the column of “Stuff to read, but not take very seriously.”
