The new Apple Tv for $99 from next week, iTunes further up in the Cloud carrying your music everywhere for you and the PC sales scruncher from IPad continuing the revolution with the new edition of the iPad being revealed right now.(It has a home button)

9.7 inch Screen, 4G LTE Capabilities leading to long range 4G migration for Verizon and AT&T (300 mln LTE customers in the US now without Lightsquared) retailing for $499 to $829. Apple retail has already grown to $ 6 bln annually to push its own sales..

 

If Jan quarter sales exceed 22 mln, the iPad would have single handedly beat the PC makers globally including Dell, HP and the rest. It sold 15 mln iPads in Q4(Apple’s Q1)

(USA live blog) 1:21 p.m.: Cook takes a small dig at the competition, comparing apps such as Twitter and Yelp running on Google’s Android tablets versus the iPad. On the Twitter app running on a Samsung tablet: “It kinda looks like a blown-up smartphone app. That’s because that’s exactly what it is.”

1:20 p.m.: Currently over 200,000 apps available for the iPad. “They help you create, and learn or do almost anything,” Cook says. He also talked about how many iPad users preferred using the device over several other gadgets, from PCs to gaming consoles.

1:17 p.m.: Cook moving on to the iPad, which sold 15.4 million in the fourth quarter. Cook says that’s more than “any PC maker sold of their entire PC line worldwide.”

1:15 p.m.: Watched scene of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close on 1080p. Looks sharp. New Apple TV will maintain $99 price, and goes on sale March 16. “Watch here”
